AI Visibility Checklist

The checklist is a decision tool, not a proprietary score. A site is ready for meaningful AI visibility work when its identity is consistent, priority questions are answered, public pages are accessible, claims are supportable and the observation method can be repeated.

Updated 6 minute working guide

Scope and boundaryEach check needs a URL, observation or approved source. A yes/no box without evidence is not considered complete.

What the evidence supports

  1. Entity consistency and answer coverage are different: a site can describe the brand clearly but fail to resolve purchase questions.
  2. External corroboration should be evaluated by relevance to the question, not raw domain count.
  3. A percentage is incomplete unless the prompt sample, provider and date are recorded.

Minimum evidence checklist

Record the evidence URL or observation beside each result.

CategoryPass conditionEvidence to retain
EntityCanonical name, offer, audience and profiles agreeURLs and approved entity statement
AnswersPriority questions have direct, useful, supported answersQuestion-to-page map and section anchor
TechnicalImportant pages are fetchable, canonical and internally discoverableResponse, rendered page, robots, sitemap and links
CorroborationMaterial claims have owned evidence or relevant independent supportSource URLs, dates and claim mapping
MeasurementQuestion sample and collection conditions are reproducibleExact prompt, provider, date, answer and citations

Turn failed checks into a queue

01

Record consequence

Explain the buyer or discovery decision affected by each failure.

02

Assign one owner

Separate technical, editorial, data and outreach responsibilities.

03

Retest the exact check

Close the item only when the evidence changes, not when work starts.

Methodology

  1. Mapped each check to one of the RadiusRank Action Center issue types and an observable acceptance condition.
  2. Removed checks that depended on unsupported ranking or citation guarantees.
  3. Published the underlying rows as CSV so teams can add owners, dates and evidence links.

Limitations

  • Passing the checklist does not guarantee retrieval, ranking or citation.
  • Private analytics and index data require the site owner's authorized tools.

Questions

Is llms.txt required to pass the checklist?

No. It can be a useful agent reference, but crawlable, accurate pages and standard technical foundations remain more important.

What should be fixed first?

Prioritize failures that block important pages or create material ambiguity for high-value buyer questions.
